Commencement of CE marking
A series of nine harmonised European standards relating to “Glass in building” has been published in October 2004. Co-existence period with national standards : 01.09.05 - 1.09.2006 or 01.03.06 - 01.03.2007.

Coming into force

Sections A and B 

hENs of these sections have been published in Official Journal in 2004, co-existence period with national standards starting 01. 09. 2005. From 01.09.2006 CE marking will be compulsory and contradicting national standards must be withdrawn.

Section B 

hEN of this section has been published in Offi cial Journal in 14.12 2005, co-existence period with national standards starting 01.06.2006. From 01.06.2007 CE marking will be compulsory and contradicting national standards must be withdrawn

Section C 

hENs in this section have been published in Offi cial Journal in 14.12. 2005, co-existing period with national standards starting 01.03.2006. From 01.03.2007 CE marking will be compulsory, and contradicting national standards must be withdrawn.
 
Testing standards are coming into force at the same time as related hENs.
