Cross-cut tester for coated glass

Used for:

The purpose of this test is to examine whether any abrasive resistant coating of a rigid plastic glazing has sufficient adherence.

The cross-hatch test evaluates the adhesion of coating adhesion of paint and powder coatings.

Conforms to:

ECE R43 annex 13 par. 13, ISO 2409/ISO 8502-3

Principle of operation:

The coating is cut into small squares, which reduces lateral bond. A tape is pressed on the squares, and the result of coating adhered to the tape is visually assessed against ISO or ASTM standards.

• A cutter 6x1mm for a coating thickness of 0-60µm
