Dropping Tower

Principle of operation:
It is a tower which is standing on the floor and attached to a wall or other supporting structure, it is equipped with a permanent magnet to hold and move the hardened-steel ball or other dropping object. The sled carrying the holding magnet is moved up and down by a timing belt and frequency controller for smooth start and stop and accurate height positioning. Dropping object is released by demagnetizing the permanent magnet. The tower is equipped with a safety fence (optional) preventing access to the dropping area. All parameters are set via HMI touch panel.
Features:
- adjustable dropping height with pre-selectable and freely selectable heights
- Permanent magnet holding the dropping object so that a power cut does not release the load
- A steel safety fence (optional) around the device is protecting the user. The PLC and touch panel is positioned outside of the safety fence.
Technical characteristics:
Maximum dropping height: 12m (or higher in custom version)
Safety fence is recommended (Height 1.90 m – with electric lock)
